One of the most popular trends these days that many parents do not understand is the emo culture. The word EMO is not derived from the word "emotional" but from the music genre "Emotive Hardcore" a culture that is heavily influenced by punk, goth, and post-punk except that they are much more sensitive. Concentrate on this unique element got some eyebobs and read thoroughly.
Emo is dominating the airwaves and has spread to the fashion world where emo fashion is making its influence felt on the runways of today. Characterized by tight jeans on males and females, long fringed bangs, tight t-shirts with rock bands printed on it, studded belts, buckles, Chuck Taylors, skate shoes, and thick black plastic reading glasses.
Reflected by their image of wearing Vintage clothing, hairstyles like Romulans and Vulcans in Star Trek, their overly sensitive and emotional attitude which they try to carry and the wearing of non prescription glasses, All in all Emo fashion can be described as being a bit nerdy.
